Amy Junkerman

Functional Wellness Lifestyle Specialist

As an overweight and unhealthy teenager and young adult who always felt sluggish, Amy knew that she had to take control of her health. She set some small goals for herself to start eating healthier, and to start moving her body more. She was very excited about how much better she was feeling, which motivated her to continue. After a 70 pound weight loss that started in 2005, she’s healthier at age 39 than she was at 20. “I now have more energy, confidence, improved cholesterol and glucose levels, and clearer thinking. This is proof that age is simply just a number, not the determining factor of our health. I feel so blessed to show up with empathy, compassion, and gratitude for what my body does for me every day”.

After she realized how much her life was positively impacted by her lifestyle change, she became very passionate about health and wellness. She went on to get her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition, and later her Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. She is also a Certified Nutrition Coach, Health Coach, and Exercise Physiologist. She’s had the pleasure of working with many different ages, abilities, and fitness levels. She lives in Quincy, IL with her husband, dog, and cat.

Your health journey is very unique and personal. She will help you to find the knowledge, confidence, and resilience to get back on track when unexpected circumstances in life happen. She will meet you where you are in your journey, and help support your goals that will get you to where you want to go, without any judgment. She firmly believes that wellness is about progress, not perfection. She is here to collaborate with you, and find a path that will create your healthiest self, both physically and mentally. “Together we can take on challenges and overcome barriers, and you will emerge feeling confident, energetic, and ambitious. Life is full of learning opportunities, and I feel honored to be a part of yours”.
